Academies System was established in August 2005. First time in the history of Pakistan Hockey, such academies system has been developed. The founder of this system is Mr. Khusru Pervaiz Khan (Home Secretary Government of Punjab) who is Patron-in-Chief of Academies setup.
Now, in Punjab, almost 21 Hockey Academies has been launched in different Districts with the coordination of District Hockey Associations. Punjab Hockey Academies is an institution which is trying to bring the young talent from District level and then groom it for the national and international level through proper training and technical education regarding the Hockey sport.
